It is very difficult to find near Rome a place like “Casale Sant’ Angelo” , where old olive trees, nature, history and architecture create a relaxing and exclusive atmosphere.
In the first half of the 2nd century b.C. the place, for its natural beauty and its healthy position was chosen by a well off Roman family who built a “villa” . The “Casale Sant’ Angelo” rises on the rests of that villa and if you walk about it is easy to find witness of that time, such as the fountain in the internal garden, or the marble columns with Jonic and Corinthian capitals in the little church which according to tradition was consecrated by St. Peter during his stay in Tivoli.

In the XIV century the Casale was part of the monastery of “San Lorenzo in Panisperna” as we can see observing the stone at the entrance of the internal garden. Its restoration started in theXVI century, and the present building is the work of the famous architect Michele Busirivici at the beginning of the fifties. Restored preserving the elements of the past, we have decided to let a small apartment and an indipendent room to our guests. At “Casale Sant’ Angelo” you can find a homelike feeling and a peaceful sense of intimacy quite different from a normal hotel.
